Key Stage 2
All pupils at the end of year 6 complete their tests and teacher assessments in their mainstream primary school with support from The Heights.

Key Stage 4
Pupils take a range of appropriate qualifications, these are dependent upon when the pupil is registered at The Heights, the length of time they are with us, and whether they are full or part time. Qualifications and pathways are designed to ensure that pupils make a successful transition into the next stage of their training.

Academic progress is measured in two ways, firstly from key stage 2 test results and secondly from tests on entry to The Heights.  Typically test scores and assessments on entry are lower than key stage 2 results.  Nearly all pupils quickly catch up and go on to achieve well.

Average length of time spent in key stage 4 at The Heights is 3.9 terms.
