Pupil Voice

At The Heights we believe that our pupils have a right to be heard and to influence school life. For this reason we have form representatives from the student body who attend half termly meetings hosted by Nicola Normanton (TA).

Pupils are asked for suggestions and consulted about various issues in school and this information is then responded to by the Headteacher.

Examples of the impact of student voice:

  • Pupils requested social seating area in the hall, this was introduced February 2018.
  • Pupils requested to be served a hot meal on a Friday instead of a ‘grab bag’, this was introduced February 2018.
  • Pupils requested a review of the rewards, new certificates, badges ( including Head Teachers Award) and vouchers were introduced February 2018.
